The Seychelles,
jewels of the Indian Ocean
Sailing in the heart of a breathtaking, unspoilt natural environment, with its endemic species, exceptional marine fauna and lush vegetation.
In brief
In the heart of theIndian Ocean, the Seychelles are an unspoilt paradise. The archipelago is made up of 115 islands: 41 granite islands, the Inner Islands, and 74 coral islets and atolls, the Outer Islands. The Inner Islands comprise the islands close to Mahé. The outer islands, further out, include the Amirantes, the Farquhar group and the Aldabra group.
On its 455 km² of land and throughout its 1 million km² of sea, the archipelago presents a variety of faces.
The Seychelles are idyllic bays and palm-fringed white-sand beaches surrounded by polished granite rocks, a picture-perfect picture postcard. You'll also discover lush vegetation in the heart of national parks such as the Vallée de Mai and its endemic species. Nearly half of the territory is in protected reserves, promising a healthy natural environment. The local Creole way of life is also on offer, with succulent traditional dishes, colorful villages and a welcoming population.
