Windelo features

Windelo was founded in 2020 by Oliver Kaufmann and his son Gauthier. The initial desire was to create his own high-performance, comfortable boat. The realization of this project was to build innovative, environmentally-friendly catamarans. And it's all been achieved through sharing with enthusiasts and experts, naval architects and engineers, and researchers.

Eco-design

The structure is made of eco-composite sandwich with secondary raw materials such as basalt and PET foam. This replaces the more conventional PVC/fiberglass combo.

Energy autonomy

An electric and hybrid propulsion system means cleaner, exhaust-free sailing. Green energies are used to recharge the batteries: hydro generation, solar panels and wind turbines.

Performance

Performance under sail is defined by optimized hulls that reduce drag and water resistance.

Cruising pleasure

The cockpit layout combines the helm and maneuvering station in the center of the boat with the living area aft of the nacelle. The result is a single, large space with flexible openings.

Windelo 50

In Yachting or Adventure versions. A true benchmark in eco-designed, high-performance catamarans, the Windelo 50 offers a different vision of sailing: the advantage of sailing without the disadvantage of a lack of energy on board. The pleasure of combining performance thanks to a powerful rig and sabre daggerboards with the comfort of a fully electric, eco-friendly catamaran. What sets it apart? Its covered or semi-open helm station at the bow, which can be opened or closed on the saloon. A modular design that allows you to find the right compromise when sailing.

Windelo 51 - Sport

The new Windelo 51 racé sport has been boosted to satisfy the most demanding sailors: larger sail area, a "performance" rig, lighter material choices. On the Windelo 51, the sails benefit from materials derived from ocean racing. This Windelo 51 Sport combines exceptional finishing touches: a carbon cross for reduced weight, a carbon mast, lengthened appendages (rudders and daggerboards), Harken Performa fittings... all without forgetting comfort.

Windelo 54

Yachting or Adventure version. Big brother of the Windelo 50. Thanks to its longer hulls, the Windelo 54 offers greater performance under sail. Sail aboard an environmentally-friendly, high-performance boat that's comfortable for both skipper and crew. You can enjoy coastal or offshore sailing, and share convivial moments thanks to its modular nacelle.

Windelo 55 - Sport

Following in the footsteps of the Windelo 51 Sport, the Windelo 55 Sport combines all the features required for top-performance sailing. Carbon finish for lighter weight, large sail area for high performance under sail. Comfort is not forgotten on the Windelo 55 Sport. Its large nacelle and spacious saloon make it very welcoming. Once the table is open, you can seat 6 to 12 guests around it.
